Terms of service
1. Who provides this service
HardModeChallenge (the “Service”) is operated by Bogumiła Drabarz, Koszalin, Poland — a private individual, not a registered business, the “Operator”. Contact: contact@hardmodechallenge.com. The Operator is based in Poland and Polish law applies.
2. What the Service is
The Service is a tool for keeping your own record of progress and for running closed challenges among people you already know. It records only what participants declare themselves.
3. The Service is not a medical tool
It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose any disorder or illness, does not provide treatment, and does not replace a doctor, psychologist or psychotherapist. The orientation questionnaire is informational, its result is descriptive, and it is not a diagnosis. If you need help, the “Where to find help” page lists places to call.
4. The Service does not run games or betting
The Operator does not organise games of chance, mutual betting or competitions, does not process payments, does not hold participants’ money, takes no commission on any stake, sets no odds and runs no prize pool.
The honour stake that participants may describe in a challenge is an informational field only. Declaring a stake does not create a contract for winnings and places no obligation on the Operator. Any settlement happens strictly between participants and outside the Service. The Service does not record whether a settlement took place.
Participants acknowledge that a social wager between individuals is not enforceable in court under Polish law (article 413 of the Civil Code).
5. Who may use it
Adults only. You need an e-mail address and a nickname. Do not put anything identifying in your nickname — the other members of your challenge can see it.
6. What other participants can see
People in the same challenge see exactly this about you: your nickname, your day count, a status derived from your own declarations, whether you recorded today’s entry, and — only if you press the “I need support” button yourself — that you have asked for support, which disappears after a day. They cannot see your e-mail address, your written reflections or plans, the triggers you tagged, or your day-by-day history.
7. Your obligations
Record entries truthfully — the Service cannot verify them, and its entire value rests on participants being honest. Do not use the Service to harass anyone, to publish unlawful content, or to invite minors.
8. Your account
You can delete your account at any time in account settings. Deletion is permanent: entries, reflections, plans, goals and challenge memberships are removed. No copy of a deleted account is retained beyond the database provider’s routine technical backups, which expire on their own.
9. Availability and liability
The Service is free and provided “as is”. The Operator does not guarantee uninterrupted availability and is not liable for decisions made on the basis of its content. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Complaints and changes
Complaints go to contact@hardmodechallenge.com and are answered within 14 days. Changes to these terms are announced 14 days in advance; continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new version.
